Never Forget You - The Noisettes

A belated Happy New Year! I hope everybody had a nice holiday time and enjoyed themselves, eating and drinking to excess and being generally merry. I'm keeping my over indulged pot belly intact for the time being in case I get snowed in and can't get any food and I'm kind of attached to it now, I might name it? I gave myself the gift of an extra long break from work and because I'd been a good girl Santa said I could. See working for yourself does have it's perks, though Christmas parties are v dull, I'm rubbish company and my conga leaves a lot to be desired.

I'm loving the Noisettes album Wild Young Hearts at the moment, Jez reckons that Don't Upset The Rhythm sounds like the 'Muskahounds' theme tune, which I suppose it does a bit but that's surely not a bad thing - Dogtanian ruled. There are lots of other great tracks on it that don't sound like cartoon theme tunes, including this one. It's on an advert at the moment and I keep getting it stuck in my head so I got the album to exorcise the demon, and it's proved a good buy.

Do you remember when everyone used to moan about Sale adverts? "Ooh, it's only Boxing Day and look at them all already" My 'pet-hate' in terms of adverts has to be the sell us your gold ones that are rife at the moment, there's a new one with Dale Winton in that's just awful. Well actually it's a toss up between gold adverts and injury claim adverts, like the one with the bloke from the Bill who really helpfully gives us dictionary definitions of words! I suppose if you're dim enough to ring these people up then you might not know what an 'injury' is?

Anyway, rubbish adverts aside they do use better music nowadays and it often proves a good 'sounding board' for artists. If I remember rightly Reef go their big break in a Sony advert? Just checked on Wikipedia not quite right Emma, but a song of theirs was in an advert. Anyway, enjoy the video below...

Wow, has that 'review' (in the loosest sense!) knocked your socks off? There's plenty more where that came from, browse our articles by genre...
