Ouch, a two day weekend! How are we meant to cope with such hardships? I'm not built for 5 days work anymore, I can't do it man!!! But help is at hand, I have a knight in skinny fit armour who has kindly written a review for me to post on ichoon - what a hero. So here is young Jacob's first of I hope many reviews on ichoon, he seems to have got the hang of this reviewing lark, maybe one day I will too *sigh.

So, Ed Sheeran has created quite a storm in the underground and grime scenes, but has never really made it mainstream. Well it seems that this is his year, he's currently offering a free, three track mixtape/EP "One Take" which is available by joining his mailing list. Join here...

After finding him on Jools Holland, and hearing his "Nando's Skank" with Example, I had to download this, Wayfaring Stranger makes great use of live-production, sampling sounds he makes and then looping them to create a song on stage. It's all very nifty indeed, Ed Sheeran is one of a few beatboxing artists that infuse R&B and soul, such as Jamie Woon.

Ed displays a barrage of sounds and types of songs, more than I thought was possible in three tracks. He has his somewhat experimental beatboxing, his acoustic love songs and looped acoustic track, "You Need Me". This EP is a steal and a true snapshot of Sheeran's capabilities. Ed Sheeran is a great talent, and his album, "+" is due for release in August.

Cheerybye!
Jacob
