I was expecting my next post to be a review of the Fleet Foxes gig last Thursday, for reasons I won't bore you with I couldn't make it and also found myself hearing the sad news as it broke on Thursday night. Regular readers will know that I'm a big Michael Jackson fan, the soundtrack to my childhood would be a cassette filled with his songs. I can't quite believe it.

I don't think the significance of it has sunk in yet, I've not watched the programmes, read the papers or really been able to listen to any of his music. There's no escaping it, on the radio and news but I don't feel that I want to get swept up in the media frenzy. I really don't know what to say on the matter, his music will live on of course, he wrote some of the greatest songs of our generation. His immense talent inspired so much of what we see and hear today and his millions of fans will ensure his memory lives on.

I'm glad he has found peace at last. Thanks for the memories MJ x
