It's low tech but fun! At a club where I used to go when I was at uni in Birmingham there was a kind of plackard that was passed around amongst the crowd, it had 'TUNE' written on it. When a song that you loved came on you would wave this plackard around enthusiastically to show your appreciation - simple but effective. This is one of the few things that I remember from my days at university!
Also back in the day I worked for a small company where the tea, biscuits and conversation flowed and the radio was always on - it was a jolly nice place to work. One day (when it was a bit quiet) I made myself a little plackard from some cardboard, wrote choon on it, made it look pretty and then when a song I loved came on the radio I would wave it about. What can I say - I'm easily amused. My colleagues were understandably jealous of my choon board and in no time we were all 'boarded' up and waving them like crazy. It soon became customery that if someone chooned then that song would be turned up - no questions! If you work in the kind of place where a choon board can be used (without getting you into trouble or breaking health & safety regulations) then I heartily recommend getting yourself 'boarded' up. So check out the downloads section and pick yourself an official choon board to print out. You can print a colour version or if those redundant highlighters on your desk are gathering dust why not print a black and white board and get colouring. Better still just make yourself an original choon board - it will take you back to decorating your pencil case and school bag! Stick it on a bit of cardboard (cut up an old cardboard box) and away you go - winner! It's a bit Blue Peter but I reckon that's a good thing, it will stop your creative juices from drying up :)
