Hello strangers! Yet again I am falling short on the blog front which is very annoying as there is lots of brilliant music I'd like to write about. One of my favourite artists Beverley Knight is doing the rounds promoting her next tour and album and belting out some great performances and I've not even got round to writing a post about that - I hang my head in shame. But fear not, my lovely friend Rach has sent me another gig review, all hail Rach! |

Warpaint, 11th May 2011, The Junction, Cambridge |

Having decided to buy tickets to this gig on the strength of one song, we knew that we’d be hearing most of the set for the first time. The Junction is a relatively small venue but it had drawn a good crowd and the band were given a warm reception with plenty of encouragement from the throngs of men in the audience who’d clearly heard a girl only band was in town! |

Just a quickee as I have work I should be doing but I can't get this song out of my head, it's beautiful, so I just needed to share this fact with you. Have a look at the video and see if you agree? It goes on sale 13th June which seems like a bit too long to wait, I'm being impatient I know but like I said it's my 'earworm' at the moment. |

Ouch, a two day weekend! How are we meant to cope with such hardships? I'm not built for 5 days work anymore, I can't do it man!!! But help is at hand, I have a knight in skinny fit armour who has kindly written a review for me to post on ichoon - what a hero. So here is young Jacob's first of I hope many reviews on ichoon, he seems to have got the hang of this reviewing lark, maybe one day I will too *sigh. |

Hello hello, I hope you are all making the most of this unusually sunny and seemingly endless Bank Holiday bonanza! I have been enjoying a well earned week and a bit off, back to the grind for most of us tomorrow. This time last week I was getting ready to go and see Adele (yes I know the review is v delayed but better late than never - right?) |

What a beautiful day, certainly too nice to be stuck in a sunlight starved office (boo) this is beer garden weather peeps! Unleash your pasty little legs and get out there. Too busy for blogging of late but have got to squeeze one in because I'm loving this song at the moment, so this is short but very sweet. |

Hands up if the lovely weather this week has put a spring in your step? Hands up if the lovely weather this week has made you dig out your dusty sandals? Hands up if the lovely weather this week has prompted you to try and put all the music back on your iPod that got inadvertently deleted months ago accompanied at the time with a slow motion "Noooooo!" Just me for the last one then - an epic task that is proving impossible to squeeze in alongside work :( |

Music sounds better through a pair of nice big headphones doesn't it? It's nice to feel it surrounding you, like a blanket of sound. I'm in my own little hot-eared world at the moment having a blast of Robyn's Body Talk and this choon is sounding especially lush. |
